Commercials

Spots for broadcast, web, and social, shot to the placement.

A commercial has a job to do.

We start with the goal and where the spot will run, then build the concept, the shoot, and the cut around that.

The first few seconds decide whether anyone watches the rest, so we plan the hook before the shot list, light the product like it is the star, and make sure the brand reads even with the sound off.

Small crew, real locations, the right gear.

You work with the same people from the first call to the master files, and nothing gets lost in a handoff.

Notes go straight to the people doing the work, not through an account layer, so what you asked for is what shows up in the next cut.

How a commercial comes together.

Six steps, the same on every job. Here is what each one means for commercials.

  1. 01

    Consultation

A call about the goal, the audience, and where the spot will run: broadcast, web, social, or all three.

  2. 02

    Estimate

A line-item estimate for the shoot and the cuts, so you know what the budget covers before anything moves.

  3. 03

    Treatment

Concept, references, script or shot list, locations, and the schedule, for you to react to before we book anything.

  4. 04

    Pre-Production

Casting, locations, crew, gear, and a shot list built around the placement, with permits where they apply.

  5. 05

    Production

A small crew on a real location, shooting to the placement: safe zones for social, clean plates for graphics.

  6. 06

    Post

Edit, color, sound, and graphics. A director's cut, your notes, a final pass, then masters, cut-downs, and captions.
